Biography: 

Emdadul Hoque was born on 23 June 1943 in Daranipara village of Tarafpur union in Mirzapur upazila. Both father Ataul Haque and mother Matijannesha Begum were well known in society as very honest, pious, and philanthropic. Emdadul Hoque completed his primary education at Daranipara Government Primary School and passed his matriculation from Mirzapur Sadar Krishna High School in 1958. In 1960, from Sa'dat College, Kartia he became I.S.C. passed. After that he received B.Sc degree in 1st division with distinction from Dhaka University in 1964. Later in 1966 AD, he passed with first class M.Sc. degree from Dhaka University in Biochemistry. He was a resident student of Fazlul Haque, Muslim Hall, and Dhaka Hall (now Shahidullah Hall) of the University.   


Education: 

After passing his M.Sc., he started his career as a Research Fellow at Dhaka University. Then in 1967, he was appointed Assistant Director in the Department of Food. His unparalleled honesty, devotion, and sincerity lead to rapid promotion in professional life.   

In 1990 he became the Acting Director. On February 8, 1992, he was promoted to the post of Deputy Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh. He was employed as Secretary of the Privatization Board and Deputy Secretary in the Council of Ministers Department. He was promoted to the post of Joint Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh on 16 February 1999 and retired from the Ministry of Establishment on 22 June 2001. During his service life, he received training in West Germany, France, and United Kingdom for about 1 year in 1977-78 with a scholarship from the West German government. Served government duties in Burma and Thailand. Also, he served in Burma, Belgium, Netherlands, and Malaysia in government work.   


Family: 

On April 17, 1966,  he got married to Begum Halima Khatun and became the father of four sons and one daughter - Emdadul Hoque is an ideal father and has special achievements. His first son, Enamul Hoque passed SSC in 1983 with letters in 5 subjects, received an MBBS degree from Dhaka Medical College in 1993, and completed his BCS in 1997. the first son's wife Dr. Naila Hoque has completed (M.D. Part-3). the 2nd son Md. Aminul Haque graduated from Dhaka University in 1995 with an M. Pharm degree. Later he moved to the United States in 1996. In 1999 he got an M.S. degree and is currently living with his family at home in Florida. He is working as a pharmacist. His son's wife Marufa Rahman is doing M.Sc. at Dhaka University. The only daughter, Mafi Hoque, graduated from Dhaka University in 1995 with M.Sc. in Zoology and received a degree from Dhaka University for P. H. D. in 2001. Her family moved to Canada as immigrants. Her husband is an engineer by the name of Shahidul Hafiz. They both work there. The third son is an engineer. Anwarul Hoque 1997 received an engineering degree and moved to Canada as an immigrant in 2003. Rahima Taher, this son's wife is a Dhaka University M.M.S. (I.R.). 4th son Md. Ariful Hoque graduated from Notre Dame College in 2004 with honors in I.S.C. he has passed and obtained a higher degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).  


Extracurricular activities: 

As a social worker and educationist, Imdadul Haque is well-known and respected in the Sudhi society. He enlightened people by spreading education. His dreams of establishing an enlightened society came true when Daranipara High School was established in 1990 on his initiative and with the cooperation of local people. As a school in remote areas, S.S.C. result success rates were quite high in exam results every year. This school is still achieving success. Due to his initiative and efforts, computer education has been made compulsory for students from 6th to 10th standard in that school. He built a mosque on the school premises by the name of Begum Halima Khatun and the school donated land to the mosque. Education enthusiast Emdadul Hoque established a high-quality library named "Begum Matizannecha Library" in the said school after his mother. In addition to textbooks and general knowledge and science technology books for school teachers and boys and girls, there are many precious and rare books and books including translations of the Holy Quran, Bokhari, and Muslim Hadith. As a center of versatile knowledge, the library is playing a special role in the area. Md. Emdadul Hoque and Begum Halima Khatun performed Hajj in 2000 AD. He and his wife launched the "Ataul Haque Scholarship" with the aim of creating more interest in the education of boys and girls among the common people of society, improving the quality of education, and achieving satisfactory results in examinations. which is the education of the area. He expressed strong optimism that it will play a unique role in the expansion. Until the moment before death, they want to keep themselves engaged in spreading education, improving the quality of education, and serving humanity. 


The International University of Scholars
, popularly known as the University of Scholars, started its journey in 2015. The Trustee Board of the university aims to establish a research-intensive modern private university for Bangladeshi as well as international students which will produce world-class researchers and industry-leading professionals. The university is working with the slogan- We Build Professionals and following the American curriculum with a strong emphasis on the use of technology for the teaching and learning process.
